Milestone

NAME:- SARSWATI VAN VIDHYA MANDAL, MANDVI, DIST-SURAT. ESTD : 1985

Establishment & Shifting

The need for higher education in Mandvi Taluka tribal area Sarswati Van Vidya Mandal was established on 01-06-1985. The trust started this/our college on 01-10-1986. The college has been transferred to new campus on 01-05-2005.

UG Programme

Under UG programme one gold medal has been achieved in History Department on 1998, and one gold medal in commerce department on 1995, and one gold medal had been achieved in Hindi department in 2005.

P.G. centre & BAOU centre

Permission for the P.G. centre in Hindi subject has been sanctioned by ‘The Veer Narmad South Gujarat University’ & it actually started from 1996. Permission has been sanctioned for ‘Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU)’ on 14-12-2006 & it is already working from 14-12-2006.

Sports & National Service Scheme

On national level two students (Men) of N.S.S. were selected by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat for Pre-Camp, Delhi on 2002-2003 & on University level 10 students of sports Department were selected by VNSGU-Surat for different sports activities in 2007-2008.

Lectures & Principal

One student name Mr. G.V.Chaudhari received Gold Medal in the History subject is now lecturer in the college. And one of our lecturers named Dr. P.M.Jalsanwala has been appointed as a Principal of Mandvi College, from 24-03-2006.
